Scroll With a Purpose
The Leicester Central Seventh-day Adventist Church's youth and teens started 2025 by warmly welcoming our new pastor, Pastor Hebert, and his wife, Ann-Marie. We praise the Lord for a smooth transition!
On 18th January 2025, we held our first Teens Afternoon service of the year, focusing on the theme “Scroll with a Purpose.” The discussion centred around social media, exploring both its benefits and challenges. We were privileged to have a powerful guest speaker, well known among the teens—Jemaule Gardner—who delivered an engaging and interactive presentation. Teens from across Area 4 attended, and we were delighted to welcome non-Adventist guests as well!
Following the programme, we enjoyed a time of socialising and fellowship over food. The afternoon was filled with laughter, fun, and games, making it a truly memorable experience.
We were also blessed to have Elder Horace Radcliff, the NEC Teens Director, in attendance. He even helped us upload a summary video onto our Instagram page! Additionally, several of our own teens volunteered in service during the programme, using their God-given gifts. This is a reminder that they are not just the church of the future, but also the church of today!
Our teens are excited for more, and I strongly believe they will greatly benefit from consistent afternoon programmes. We recognise the importance of collaboration with other departments, including Youth, Pathfinders, and the Bulgarian church. As Teens Ministry Leader, I can confirm our commitment to working together to make this happen.
The teens of our district and wider community are looking forward to what’s to come. Kuda Gonese, our Teens Ministries Leader, shared, “I see potential, and it would be a shame if it were to go to waste. Let’s press along as God continues to guide the Teens Ministry. For we are:
'Better together than alone!'"
