Christ-Centred Families
The importance of Christ-centred families took centre stage at Warrington Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor John Francis, Director of the Family Ministries Department, inspired members with a powerful sermon and interactive discussions.
One of the greatest attacks of the enemy is on the family. To thrive as a Christian family in the 21st century, we need Jesus at the centre of our home and church family. Worship at Warrington Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath 26th October 2024, was especially meaningful as it emphasised the significance of family togetherness. The church choir offered a special meditational item, “The Family of God.”
Pastor John Francis, Director of the Family Ministries Department, delivered a powerful sermon highlighting the importance of the family altar and modelling behaviours that shape characters for eternity. He emphasised how these values unite the church family in the presence of Almighty God.
The interactive afternoon programme, led by Pastor Francis and his wife, Delivon Francis, encouraged members to understand the hidden needs of their families. A vision of a close-knit and God-centred family emerged, growing richer in the hearts and minds of the congregation. Members left with a deeper appreciation for the family of God and a renewed sense of awe for the greatness of God.
Pastor and Sister Francis concluded the weekend with a safeguarding training session for church leaders at Liverpool Central Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday.
