Brother and Sister Baptised in Northampton

On Sabbath 15th February 2025, Northampton Harlestone Road Seventh-day Adventist Church gave glory to God as two young people made their commitment to be baptised at our sister church, Northampton Central.

The day was filled with excitement as relatives and friends gathered to witness this special occasion. Grandparents had even flown in from Moldova to celebrate. Church members rejoiced in the gift of the Holy Spirit, who had led these two young people to baptism.

The baptismal candidates, a brother and sister, had been raised by their parents to serve God. They had also participated in Bible studies conducted by Sister Ingrid Sharpe, which further deepened their faith.

After a heartfelt sermon, the congregation shared in a fellowship lunch before making their way to our sister church for the baptism. The church was packed, and an atmosphere of joy and anticipation filled the air.

The Moldovan and Romanian choir lifted their voices in praise, adding to the worshipful spirit of the service. Pastor Simion Sprinceana, visiting from Moldova, delivered a powerful sermon filled with wisdom before baptising Victor Murgeneanu and Emilia Murgeneanu.

There were tears of joy as they rose from the water, ready to live their lives in Jesus. The district pastor, Pastor Chenjerai, read the heartfelt testimonies written by the two candidates about their journey to baptism. He then made an altar call, inviting those who felt moved to commit their lives to Christ. One young person responded, raising her hand to be considered for the next baptism.

A special poem, written and recited by a church member, was dedicated to the newly baptised. Pastor Chenjerai, along with the elders and church members, then warmly welcomed Victor and Emilia into the fellowship.

To God be the glory!
