“The Unspoken Love” Youth Worship Evening
On Saturday 1st February 2025, Leicester Central Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted an Advent Youth Ministries (AYM) night of fellowship and music, marking the launch of the year’s youth theme, RESET. The event brought together around 200 young people from across the UK, including attendees from Luton, Bedford, Ipswich, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Stoke and Wales. Organised by the Leicester Central Youth Ministries department in collaboration with the youth from the local Bulgarian church plant, the programme aimed to unite young people through worship, music, and reflection on God’s love.
The month of February has been dedicated to the theme “The Unspoken Love”—a reflection on God’s love for His chosen people, a love that is often not spoken about enough. We see today’s youth as God’s special people, His chosen ones. This month, we are emphasising that we are the unspoken love in someone’s life, encouraging all youth and teens to embody this love in their own unique ways.
One of our members, Katerina, delivered a thought-provoking presentation on God’s love demonstrated through diet and a healthy lifestyle, focusing on the connection between gut health, microbial health, and mental well-being. Using insights from the books of Hosea, Genesis, and Philippians, she illustrated how our physical health is deeply intertwined with our spiritual and emotional well-being.
We were grateful for the talented musicians who formed our RESET praise lineup, as well as our special guests, Kiril Kolev and his family, a Bulgarian family from Coventry, who contributed meaningfully to our worship.

The highlight of the evening came when Shona’s Praise Team from the Leicester District, led by Kiana, reminded us that we need each other to survive because we are part of God’s family. The praise team, accompanied by a group of versatile musicians from across the NEC and SEC, led the congregation in an uplifting medley of songs, inviting everyone to participate as they felt moved.

As the service reached its climax, Dr Patrick Hebert, our pastor, delivered an inspiring and contemporary message on “The Unspoken Love.” The young people were led to recognise that God’s unspoken love is available to all, no matter our situation or circumstances. Even when we drift away, this unspoken love is always there—ready to welcome us home.
Following the worship service, the evening concluded with a social gathering and refreshments. Attendees used this time to connect, compete in friendly games, and simply enjoy each other’s company. All agreed that they are eagerly looking forward to the next youth worship event.
