Three Young Souls Embrace Christ

On Sabbath, August 16, three young individuals took a significant step in their faith journey by being baptised into the Kingdom of Heaven. The beautiful ceremony took place at Salford Seventh-day Adventist Church during the divine worship hour, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration among family and friends.

Pastor Romel Ricarte delivered a message centred on five key principles of secret prayer, drawn from Luke 11:2–4, continuing this quarter’s theme of Discipleship. In keeping with the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, the congregation was reminded of Jesus’ call to become fishers of men.

The baptismal candidates had all been part of the local baptismal class led by Pastor Ricarte and were actively involved in the church’s Sunday afternoon sports evangelism programme, designed to engage the local community.

One candidate had also contributed to the recent Vacation Bible School. Each of them had already shown a deep passion for Christ before entering the waters of baptism.

The church family is excited about the prospect of more baptisms later this year, as several individuals have expressed their desire to join the baptismal class. In anticipation, preparations are underway for the installation of a long-awaited baptistry, reaffirming the church’s mission to seek and save souls.

In a poignant declaration, one of the candidates testified that she had left her old life in the watery grave and was now alive in Christ - a moving reminder to all believers to walk in the newness of life.
