“God Made Me”: A Joy-Filled VBS at Manchester Southern Asia Church
The Manchester Southern Asia Church (MSAC) held its annual Vacation Bible School from 26–30 October, led by the Children’s Ministries department and centred on the theme “God Made Me.” Each day, between 18 - 22 children attended, including several non-Christian children who enjoyed the programme so much that they asked for it to run every school term. Despite limited preparation time, the team delivered a meaningful and memorable week filled with learning, fun, and spiritual growth.

Daily Lessons
Throughout the week, the children explored key Bible stories and themes.
Day 1 opened with the story of Creation, reminding the children that God made the world and that each one of them is made by His hands.
Day 2 followed with the story of Noah’s Ark, highlighting how human choices caused God grief and led to His decision to cleanse the earth.
On Day 3, the children learned about God’s promise after the Flood, emphasising His faithfulness to humanity.
Day 4 explored Jesus’ parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders, focusing on the importance of strong foundations for building character.

The week concluded on Day 5 with the core theme, “God Made Me,” reaffirming that each child is wonderfully created by God and that Jesus is coming back for His people.
In addition to the lessons, the children enjoyed a rich variety of activities, including songs, storytelling, prayer, painting, drawing, colouring, crafts, and games. These interactive experiences helped reinforce each message in creative and engaging ways.
Highlights
The children demonstrated strong engagement throughout, and the enthusiasm of the non-Christian participants was especially encouraging, as they expressed a desire for similar programmes in the future. Despite the limited time, the team succeeded in creating a joyful, safe, and memorable environment.
The “God Made Me” VBS was a successful and blessed week. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Church Pastor, Pastor Romel Ricarte, for his immense support, to NEC Children’s Ministries Leader Sis. Peters for her valuable contribution, to the MSAC church elders, all volunteers, and all the families who supported the programme. We look forward to offering more opportunities for our children to learn and grow in Christ.
