Office Secretary
Location: North England Conference Office, Nottingham
Salary: From £21,581.28 – £28,023.48 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Closing Date: 16th July 2025
About the Role
The North England Conference is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Secretary to support the smooth functioning of our Secretariat department. This is a key administrative role within a mission-driven environment, providing confidential, high-quality support to departmental Directors and contributing to the wider work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the North England Conference.
Key Responsibilities
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the department, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, event planning and preparing documentation.
Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (digital and hard copy).
Liaise professionally with internal departments, local churches, and external partners.
Support the coordination of events, appointments, and departmental reports.
Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in all duties.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience in a similar secretarial or administrative role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and web based programs.
A proactive, flexible, and discreet approach to work.
