NEC Evangelism Showcase

The North England Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church 2025 Evangelism Showcase will be held on Sabbath the 27th September 2025 at Leeds Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 169 Meanwood Road, LS7 1JW, serving the surrounding areas of the Conference. Attached is the event poster with the relevant information which we ask you to promote on your Church notice boards and also share with your Church members, districts and social media platforms, so they can be present for this equipping and training session. This programme affirms the Conference Strategic plan mission of being: Transformed by Christ to Excel. 

The day will begin with an earlier Worship Service, where our Guest speaker will be Pastor Dr Steve Palmer, President of the North England Conference of SDA. Following this, there will be 2 simultaneous workshops:

·        Workshop Session I: Parents, adults, and young adults in a shared space

·        Workshop Session II: Teens and youth in a separate venue (Just before lunch)

In the afternoon, the groups will swap sessions so that everyone can complete both workshops. Lunch is provided. The programme will conclude with a Final presentation by Pastor Dr Palmer, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

The Q&A Panel will feature the workshop presenters, practitioners of Innovative Creative Community Outreach, and Lay members representing different age groups. Their lives have been profoundly shaped through training, mentoring and coaching - equipping them to become lifelong, year-round disciple-makers and dedicated practitioners of a Christ-centred approach to mission and evangelism.

This Showcase will highlight what may be one of the most effective antidotes to the challenge of young people leaving the church. It will show how adult members can be transformed into disciples who replicate themselves and how the local church can remain relevant to its community, while growing organically in our post-modern context.
