The North England Conference is seeking a practical, highly organised Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of Vertex, our headquarters, from maintenance and compliance to contractors and events. Level 4 facilities qualification or equivalent required, alongside a genuine commitment to the mission of the Church.

The North England Conference is seeking an experienced, practical and highly organised Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of Vertex, our Conference headquarters.

This is a key operational role within a mission-driven environment, helping to ensure that the building is safe, secure, welcoming, well maintained and effectively supports the work of the North England Conference.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, security and presentation of Vertex.

· Coordinate contractors, suppliers, planned and reactive maintenance and facilities services.

· Monitor statutory building inspections, servicing, testing and property compliance requirements.

· Coordinate fire safety, emergency arrangements and site inspections, working closely with the Executive Secretary’s Department on organisational Health & Safety matters.

· Manage building bookings, meeting spaces, hospitality and facilities requirements for meetings and events.

· Maintain property compliance records and support local churches with relevant property requirements.

· Support facilities procurement, expenditure and effective financial stewardship.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

· NVQ Level 4 in Facilities Management, IWFM Level 4 or an equivalent relevant qualification.

· Relevant experience in facilities, premises, property or site management.

· Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and maintenance services.

· A good understanding of workplace Health & Safety and building compliance.

· Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

· IOSH Managing Safely, or willingness to undertake the qualification following appointment.

· A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

· A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
