Born in England to parents hailing from Nevis in the Caribbean, Dr Patrick Herbert holds a Bachelor of Arts from Newbold College, a Master of Arts from Andrews University, and a Doctor of Ministry from North Park University in Chicago. His dissertation, titled "Pastoral Care: Preaching that Gives Hope to Hurting People in an African Caribbean Context," has been well-received and has provided an important framework for the ministry of many pastors.

He has preached in diverse locations such as Canada, England, Ireland, Nevis, the Republic of South Africa, Sweden, the United States, Wales, Abu Dhabi, Jamaica, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

In the United Kingdom, he spent 15 years as a Youth Counsellor at a prominent educational institution. He is renowned for his “Mornin’, Noon and Night Revival”—an annual series of meetings in Birmingham that has drawn as many as 1,000 young attendees from across the country, featuring dynamic guest preachers from the USA. Moreover, Dr Herbert is the founding pastor of The Upper Room Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nottingham.

He has had the privilege of being a North England Conference camp meeting speaker in 2016 and has been on the Hope Channel UK's Inspired Series as a preacher. Furthermore, Dr Herbert led the refurbishment and re-dedication of Camp Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Conference's flagship church, during his tenure there.
