NEC Church Member helps Equip Antiguan Adventist School with Latest Technology

Earlier this year, a team of nine educators, comprising of principals, Senior and IT teachers from the South Leeward Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, led by Dr. Eulalie Semper, Director of Education, left the shores of Antigua for London. Upon arrival at Gatwick international Airport London, they were warmly welcomed by the High Commissioner of Antigua to the UK Her Excellency Karen-Mae Hill who welcomed them with gloves, hats, scarves and coats that would protect them from the cold blast of the below  zero freezing temperature of the Winter season.

The Key reason for their visit was to attend the British Educational Training and Technology Show (BETT show). The Bett Show is an annual trade show in the United Kingdom marketing information technology in education, the largest technology show in the world for education. Once the team had been exposed to the new technology and innovation for schools, they were keen to see the Seventh-day Adventist school in Antigua have similar facilities.

Dr Semper Education Director for the South Leeward Islands then engaged North England Conference church member Danny Reid, a technical Vocational training consultant, to support and deliver this project, which was completed on the 13 September 2019.
