Chelmsley Wood Pathfinder Club was officially recognised by the North England Conference this year. On 28 April 2019 there was a good turn out to the first litter pick up initiative by this newly formed club with a head count of 22 volunteers. This initiative led by Chelmsley Wood Pathfinder Club aims to work with local residents to help clean up the neighbourhood around the church within the Solihull Borough Council.

Amongst the Pathfinder volunteers, in attendance were: Dame Caroline Spelman; local MP Meriden, and a contingent from Handsworth and Yardley Adventist church. Local MP, Dame Caroline Spelman, spent the afternoon on this initiative and said, "It was a pleasure to have been involved."

Chelmsley Wood Pathfinder Club hopes that this initiative will become a monthly event and part of the efforts of the church to serve the community whilst encouraging children and young people to be better citizens.

Please join us on the next litter pick up on Sunday 26 May 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
