About Us
Hope for Birmingham is more than a project — it’s a movement to bring hope, healing, and faith-based support to individuals and families across our city.
How 'Hope for Birmingham' Began
Hope for Birmingham officially launched in June 2025 as a collaborative outreach between 19 Seventh-day Adventist churches in the West Midlands and Streams of Light International, a global Christian publishing and evangelism ministry with headquarters in Tennessee, USA.
At the heart of this mission is a desire to get the powerful book The Great Controversy into as many homes as possible — a book that explains the deeper meaning behind the chaos in the world and offers a clear path to peace, purpose, and faith in Jesus Christ.
Our Purpose
In a time when many are facing anxiety, grief, uncertainty, and loss, we believe it’s time to point people back to the true source of hope. Our purpose is to:
Distribute truth-filled literature free of charge
Provide advice and support on healthy lifestyle choices
Pray with and for those in need
Offer free Bible studies and faith-based resources
Connect people to local churches, support and friendship groups
Bring hope to every street, every home, and every heart

Get Involved
Explore resources, connect with a local church, or volunteer to help share hope across Birmingham—one home at a time.

A Movement for Everyone
No matter who you are—whether you’re exploring faith, wrestling with life’s questions, or seeking a closer walk with God—you are welcome here. Hope for Birmingham is for you, regardless of your background, beliefs, or where you find yourself on life’s journey.
Join the Mission
We encourage you to explore the resources on this site, request a book, ask for prayer, or connect with a local church in your area. If you feel moved to make a difference, you can also volunteer and be part of a growing movement to share hope in Birmingham and beyond. Together, let’s bring hope to every heart and every home.
