Executive Secretary

The Secretariat office is privileged to give its best in ministry and service to the members, employees, churches and schools of the NEC.

What We Do

Associated with the President and Treasurer as an Executive Officer, the Executive Secretary besides performing general administrative responsibilities assists the President in caring for the Churches in our Conference.

This role ensures that the Church practises good governance as well as liaising with higher Seventh-day Adventist organisations and other bodies such as the Charity Commission. Therefore our work is very varied and includes some of the tasks listed below:



  • Executive Committee Agendas and Minutes.
  • Other subcommittee Agendas and Minutes.
  • Conference Administrative Committee [ADCOM] Minutes.

  • To keep and promote the national and global policies of the Church.
  • Organising the quadrennial Sessions of the NEC.
  • Health and Safety.

  • Employment.
  • Maintenance of Employee Service Records.
  • Process employee Licenses and Credentials.

  • Church Membership and Baptism records.
  • Statistical records and archives.
  • Resource and training for the Church Clerks.

Ministry to the NEC Churches in the following ways:

  • Officiating at various functions, including Sabbath appointments for preaching etc.
  • Organizing Companies and Churches.
  • Protection of children and youth through managing the Keeping the Church Family Safe [KCFS] Policy including CRB checks.
  • Along with the Family Ministries Department to train all those responsible for children and youth in the KCFS Policy and CRB Applications.
  • Statistical records and archives.
  • Resource and training for the Church Clerks.
