Your Church Website

About the initiative
In 2024, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland introduced a new website template powered by the Adventist Cloud Web Engine. This modern, user-friendly platform is now being used for the North England Conference website and is designed to help conferences, missions, and local churches create engaging websites that connect with both Adventist and non-Adventist audiences.
We’re now inviting local churches across the North England Conference to adopt this new platform and transition away from netAdventist. Whether or not your church previously had a netAdventist site, you can request access to the new template by completing the form below.
Your old website
If your church currently has a website provided by the North England Conference Communication & Media Department through the netAdventist platform, please note that the new website will replace your existing site.
Once you complete the webform below to request your new website, your old site will become inaccessible shortly afterwards. Any content that has not been backed up will be permanently lost, so it’s essential to manually copy and save anything you wish to keep.
What You Should Do
Review your current website and identify any content you want to preserve.
Download or copy that information to a Word document, cloud storage, or your local computer.
Organise the saved content so it’s ready for easy transfer to your new website.
FAQs
How much does it cost to have a website for my church through the North England Conference?
Nothing. The Communication & Media Department covers all website costs for NEC churches.
Do I need to be a website developer to manage my church’s site?
Not at all. If you’ve built a website before, you’ll find the Adventist Cloud Web Engine intuitive and easy to use. However, even if you haven’t, there’s no need to worry — the technical setup and maintenance are handled on our side. All you need to do is update your site with your church’s information, such as service times and photos.
How long does it take to get our website?
After completing the request form below and we have confirmed the application with your minister for security purposes, you’ll receive access to your website within a few days.
Are there any training resources available?
Yes. The IT Department at the British Union Conference has developed a range of training materials to guide you through the process.
Can multiple people help manage the website?
Yes, allowing multiple people to share the workload.
Will our church’s current website content be transferred automatically?
No – each church is responsible for uploading their own content to the new template. However, we will provide guidance and tools to make this as smooth as possible.
Can we customise the website to match our church’s personality?
Yes. While the core structure remains consistent for all churches, there are plenty of ways to personalise your site — including banners, colours, photos, welcome messages, and calendars.
Who manages technical updates and security?
All backend updates, security patches, and technical maintenance are managed centrally by Hope Channel Europe, who the BUC outsources these responsibilities to.
Do we need to purchase a domain name?
No – your church will be given a free domain (e.g., yourwebsite.adventist.uk).
Is there a deadline to move to the new website template?
We’re aiming to transition all churches in the NEC to the new website template by the end of 2025. This will help ensure consistency and a high-quality online presence across all our churches.
